James H. “Jim” “Red” Conner 81, of Benton, KY passed away at 6:05pm Monday January 2, 2017 at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.
Jim retired as area manager with Woodmen of the World life insurance company. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Bettye Kemp Conner of Benton, KY; his children, Sue Davenport and husband Eddie of Hardin, KY; Randy Conner and wife Dodie of Jackson, TN, Mary Anne Garland of Hardin, KY, Alisa Conner and husband Frankie of Cadiz, KY; Deana Hughes and husband Bobby of Benton, KY; Steve Baker of Louisville, KY, Kimber Hale of Murray, KY; Jimmy Baker and wife Cindy of Farmersville, TX and Melissa Kimbro and husband Jimmy of Grand Rivers, KY; mother-in-law, Effie Kemp of Murray, KY brother in law, Hal Kemp and wife Leslie of Kirksey, KY; sixteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, W.O. Conner, Anne Coursey and Jerry Conner. His parents were Herbert Conner and Augusta Blalock Conner.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Friday January 6, 2017 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home. Rev. David Russell and Tracy Paschall will officiate and burial will follow in the Wadesboro Cemetery. Friends may call after 5:00PM Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home.
