
Panama City Beach, FL – The Marshals followed up their disappointing loss Wednesday to Pleasant Grove, AL with a 30 point win Thursday over tournament host Arnold High School and will play Centennial High School of Franklin, TN in the 5th place game Friday at 1:15.
In their last meeting on the court, Arnold beat the Marshals 59-44 at Marshall County on January 24, 2015 and the two teams met for their seventh game Thursday after both lost their opening round games in the Marlin Christmas Classic.

The Marshals led 4-0 early on with baskets by Houston Harvey and Skyler Smith but a 8-0 run by Arnold gave the Marlins an 8-4 lead before a free throw by Bryce Flatt ended the run. Flatt scored the next three points to tie the game at 8-8 followed by three’s exchanged between Arnold’s Sinclair and Harvey to end the first quarter tied 11-11.
Brandon Beezley hit a 3-pointer to put the Marlins up 14-11 and the Marshals then put together a 10-0 run behind two free throws from Smith, four points each by Dylan Walters and Harvey to lead 21-14 and they would finish out the half leading 34-15 after out-scoring Arnold 23-4 in the second quarter.
A three from Covington in the third quarter cut the Marshals lead to 16 that they stretched back out to 24 points on a free throw from Flatt, basket by Lucas Nichols, free throws by Walters, six straight points by Matt French and finished off with a three by Harvey, his fourth of five in the game.
The Marshals scored 23 points in the fourth quarter for the 73-43 win at the final buzzer, led by Harvey’s 21 points, 16 from Walters and 12 by French. Adonis Covington led the Marlins with 15 points.
