Westbound Work Zone Lane Restriction on I-24 at 27mm on FRIDAY & SATURDAY, DEC 2 & 3

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to restrict westbound traffic to one lane along I-24 in MARSHALL County on Friday and Satureday, December 2 & 3, 2016.

Westbound I-24 traffic will be restricted to one lane near the 27 mile marker to allow the repair of a deck pothole on the Cypress Creek Canal Bridge.  This is along I-24 westbound between the Tennessee River Bridge and the I-24/US 62 Calvert City Exit 27 Interchange.

All wesbound traffic will move to the left-hand or passing lane at this site.  Motorists should be alert for slowing and merging traffic as they approach this work zone.

Work at this site is expected to start around 8 a.m., CST, Friday.  The work zone is expected to be taken down Saturday afternoon once concrete used for the repair has cured.

Motorists should use appropriate caution where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
