Mr. Robert Oliver "Bob" Johnson, age 84 died on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the Barkley Center in Paducah, KY. He was a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and was a retired Quality Engineer for Ford Motor Company. He also worked for the Valeris Company in Brazil. Born Tuesday, September 6, 1932 in Warren, MI, he was the son of the late Oliver Johnson and the late Anna (Kaleba) Johnson. Surviving are his wife, Verenda (Rhea) Johnson of Benton, KY, son, Robert "Bob" T. Johnson, wife Sheila of Heartland, WI, daughter, Gloria Oxendine, husband John of Naples, FL, step-children, Steve Linn, wife Darcy of Fulton, KY, Terry Ross, husband Ross of Rodgers City, MI, Annette Hulen, husband Jerry of Symsonia, KY, Sissel Jestes, husband Henry of Benton, KY, Kimberly Linn of Benton, KY, brother, Tom Johnson of Vicksburg, MI, 20 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Linda Comstock, brother, Ed Johnson, and grandchildren, Eli Linn and Samantha Linn. A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Rev. Mark Thweatt officiating. Entombment will follow in the Benton Cemetery, Benton, KY. Visitation will be held between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Collier Funeral Home.
