Monday, the Marshals will play in the annual Ryder Cup against Calloway County at the Oaks Country Club and will begin preparing for next week’s KHSAA Boy’s Region 1 Tournament at Drake Creek. The top two teams will advance to the KHSAA State Tournament in Bowling Green. McCracken County and Mayfield appear to be the front runners going into the tournament but the Marshals will try to break into one of the top two spots.
“It all comes down to how we play at the regional tournament”, Coach Keith Bell said. “We are more than capable but we have to go out and prove it. The boys are working hard and we have played a very competitive schedule this season in the hopes it would prepare us for the regional tournament. It should be a great tournament, spectators should expect to see some very good golfers from western Kentucky.”
