Westbound Lane Restriction on I-24 @ 31mm THIS MORNING at Livingston-Marshall County Line

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will have a work zone lane restriction on the westbound lanes of Interstate 24 at the 31 mile marker starting TODAY.

Westbound traffic on I-24 will be restricted to one lane around the 31 mile marker at the Livingston-Marshall County Line to allow repairs to a joint on the Tennessee River Bridge.

A piece of metal on the joint has come loose and will have to be welded back into place.  The work zone lane restriction for I-24 westbound traffic is expected to be in place for about 3 to 4 hours.

Motorists should be alert slowing and merging traffic as they approach the 31 mile marker.   Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
