CALVERT CITY – Marshall County’s golf team hosted the 2016 Marshall County Invitational at Calvert City Country Club Saturday with field of 16 boy’s teams and 8 girl’s teams teeing off in a shotgun start at noon.
The McCracken County boy’s and girl’s teams both took 1st place. Marshall County’s boy’s placed 3rd overall and the girls placed 2nd. Medalist honors went to Daviess County’s Daniel Love with a 3-under 69 and Mayfield’s Devany Cope and Payton Carter of Henderson tied for 1st, each with 5-over 77’s.
Hallie Riley shot 78 to secure 3rd place overall to lead the Lady Marshals while Quinn Eaton’s even par 72 placed him tied for 5th overall with Lyon County’s Cullan Brown.
