Benton man involved in motorcycle gang arrest

WARWICK, R.I. (AP) – Four motorcycle gang members from Kentucky have been arrested in Rhode Island on weapons and drug charges.

Rhode Island State Police say the members of the Iron Horsemen Motorcycle Club were pulled over Friday after weaving in and out of traffic on Interstate 95 in Warwick.

Police say troopers found two loaded guns, large knives and crystal methamphetamine during the traffic stop.

Police arrested 55-year-old Robert Frayer, of Princeton, Kentucky; 41-year-old Michael Matteson, of Benton, Kentucky; 58-year-old Jerry Palmer, of Princeton, Kentucky; and 47-year-old Steven Overby, of Hardin, Kentucky.

They were arraigned Friday and each released on a $10,000 surety bond.

There weren’t any online court records that listed lawyers for the men.
