Paving along KY 408, KY 1836, KY 2606 in MARSHALL County starting Tuesday, Sept 6

A contractor the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans asphalt paving along KY 408, KY 1836, KY 2606 in MARSHALL County starting Tuesday, September 6, 2016.

 

Paving is planned at the following locations:

 

KY 408/Eggners Ferry Road from the US 641 intersection at mile point 7.825 extending eastward to the Clarks River Bridge at mile point 9.716, a distance of 1.85 miles.

KY 1836/Duncan Creek Road from the Marshall-Calloway County Line at mile point 0.0 extending eastward to KY 402 at mile point 1.667.

KY 2606/Jackson School Road from the KY 58 intersection at mile pont 4.35 extending eastward to KY 408 at mile pont 6.110, a distance of 1.76 miles.

 

The paving crew is expected to start on KY 1836/Duncan Creek Road, then move to the other locations.

 

Jim Smith Contracting of Grand Rivers is the prime contractor on this $425,808 highway improvement project.  The work on these 3 routes is expected to take about 10 days to complete, weather permitting.

 

Motorists should use appropriate caution where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
