CHUCK McWHERTER, 71, of Benton, Kentucky passed away at home 8:00PM Tuesday, August 23, 2016.
Chuck formerly worked for Royal Guard and worked locally as an automobile detailer. He was a member of Union Ridge Baptist Church and was an avid NASCAR fan.
He is survived by his wife, Tommie King McWherter of Benton, KY; his children; Cary Brown and wife Melissa of Moorestown, NJ; Ellen Carver of Benton, KY and Scott Stone and wife Leigh of Bartlett, TN; grandchildren; Emily Brown and Elizabeth Brown both of Moorestown, NJ;, Loryn Carver and Calli Carver both of Benton, KY; Ginny Stone and Adam Stone both of Bartlett, TN; one sister, Nancy Knight of Dyersburg, TN; nephew, Bo Knight and his wife Stacey along with their five children and one grandson and niece, Karen Elkin and her husband Kenny along with their three children and seven grandchildren and his faithful companion, Buddy.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Neal McWherter. His parents were Charles H. McWherter Sr. and Naomi Moore Neal.
Funeral services will be at 11:00AM on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at the Union Ridge Baptist Church. Bro. Joel Frizzell and Bro. George Culp, Jr will officiate and burial will follow in the King Family Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Friday, August 26, 2016 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home.
