Merva D. Egner, age 102 of Calvert City, KY, died on Friday, July 29, 2016, at her home. She was a homemaker and member of Mt. Moriah Primitive Baptist Church. Surviving are son, David Egner of Calvert City, KY; grandchildren, Christy Jenkins, husband Dale of Calvert City, KY, Patrick Egner of Calvert City, KY, Lynn Egner, wife Ellie of Gilbertsville, KY; great grandchildren, Gracie and Luke Egner, Shelby Johnson, husband Ryan of Calvert City, KY, and great great grandchild, Adelynn Grace Johnson of Calvert City, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lynn and Martha (Angle) Smith, husband, Benjamin Frank Egner, 4 brothers, and 1 sister. A Graveside service will be held at 12:30 PM on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Fooks Cemetery with Elder Danny Ferrell officiating. Interment will follow. Visitation will be held between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY 42025.
