Three former Marshall County Track and Field members completed very successful season’s this past year in their first season at the collegiate level on the Kentucky Wesleyan Track and Field team.
Nathan Solomon made the All-Conference All-Academic Team and has a long list of accomplishments from the Indoor and Outdoor seasons. According to the official site of the Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers, here are Nathans top results from the season.
Indoor: Set three school records in relay events…posted school-record in the 4X200m at the DePauw Tiger Invitational…recorded a school-record first place finish time of 3:41 in the SMR at the Principia Relays…also set school-record in the DMR at the Principia Relays with a fifth place finish and time of 11:13.94.
Outdoor: Great Midwest Athletic Conference honoree…Great Midwest Athletic Conference All-Freshman team
selection…Academic All-Great Midwest Athletic Conference selection…set two school records in the 4X100m relay at the Hilltopper Relays…also set a school-record with a time of 3:24.66 in the 4X400m relay at the G-MAC Championship meet…also registered a third place finish in the 4X400m relay at the Pioneer Invitational.
Sydney Goff set eight school records excelling in the hurdle events for the Panthers.
Indoor: Set eight school records…55m Hurdles (9.16) at G-MAC Championship…60m Hurdles (10.13) at the UIndy Opener…set two Long Jump and Triple Jump records at the Conference Championship meet…notched new record in the High Jump at the DePauw Tiger Small College Invitational…member of top first place 4X200M relay team with a time of 1:48:58…also on 4X400M relay team and was also apart of the DMR relay team at the Principia Relays.
Outdoor: Broke five school records…currently holds top time in KWC histroy in the 100M hurdles (16:09)…holds record in the Triple Jump (9.85m)…set two records at the G-MAC Championship…tied for first in the High Jump, and holds first in the Long Jump (4.82m)…also a member of the record-setting 4X400M relay team…placed in the top five in all events competed in at the G-MAC Championship.
Kara Kelley received All-Freshman team honoree mention and a big part of many successful relay teams.
Indoor: Participated in every meet…won the 4X200M relay race at the Principia Relays with a time of 1:51:08…finished in the top eight in the 4X400 at the DePauw Invitational…placed fourth in the DMR at the G-MAC Indoor Championship meet.
Outdoor: Great Midwest Athletic Conference All-Freshman team honoree…won first place at the G-MAC Championship meet in the 4X100M relays setting a school-record top time of 49.62…also set a school record in the 400M dash with a time of 61.50 at the Bellarmine Invitational.
