State Treasurer Allison Ball is warning Kentuckians of a check scam that is using the Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes’ name.
The treasurer’s office says residents are receiving checks that look like they are coming from the Secretary of State’s office.
When the checks can’t be cashed, the scam artists try to request personal information from the recipients.
