Marshall County Fire and Rescue reported a structure fire that occurred at approximately 2:00 pm Monday at 3565 Mayfield Hwy in Benton.
By the time West Marshall, Palma-Briensburg, South Marshall and Aurora-Ross Fire Department’s responded, the home was completely engulfed in flames.
While pets were believed to be casualties in the fire, no human lives were lost and no further injuries were reported.
The house is a total loss.
