MCHS student selected for US Naval Academy program

Hannah Elizabeth McDuffie, daughter of Heather McDuffie and granddaughter of Terry
and Trisha (Chester) Hanna has been selected to attend the United States Naval
Academy Summer Seminar held at the academy in Annapolis, Md.  She was selected for
the highly competitive slot as one of 2,250 globally available.
Hannah will be a senior at Marshall County High School where she is an honor
student, a member of the track team, FFA, HOSA, Marshall Militia, Leadership
Dynamics and a representative to CAT as one of three representatives from the high
school.  In high school she has planned special activities for the middle schools
and other high school events.
In 2015 she was chosen as an ambassador for West Kentucky to participate in the
People to People European Heritage High School Summer Program and visited seven
European countries and participated in community service projects and spent time as
an exchange student with a German family.
Hannah is from a strong family history of naval service and would like to continue
this tradition.
