Mr. Danny Martin Sloan, age 72, of Gilbertsville, KY, died Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY. He was a member of the Calvert City Church of Christ an avid golfer and loved fishing. He was a retired operator for Pennwalt.
Mr. Sloan is survived by his wife Rowena Sloan of Gilbertsville, KY; his mother Eulene (York) Sloan of Benton, KY; two brothers Dennis Sloan of Benton, KY and Don Sloan and his wife Barbara of Benton, KY; one sister Shirley Estes and her husband Roy of Benton, KY; four step-sons; one step-daughter; 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Sloan was preceded in death by his brother David Sloan and his father James Marshall Sloan.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday March 26, 2016 in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, with Lance Cordle officiating.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 12:00 until the service time of 3:00 pm on Saturday March 26, 2016 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 W 5th Street, Benton, KY.
The family has asked that donations be made to the Western Kentucky Youth Camp; 301 Youth Camp Rd, Marion, KY 42064.
All arrangements have been entrusted to Collier Funeral Home.
