On Tuesday February 16th Deputy Steven Oakley and Major David Maddox was dispatched to a residence on Southwood Dr. in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, deputies talked to the witness stating that he had seen Austin L. Doom 20, of Grand Rivers, assaulting the victim. Upon investigation Doom was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd Degree-Domestic Violence. Doom along with Patricia N. Hamelin 32, of Gilbertsville, were both cited for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
On Tuesday February 16th Deputy Steven Oakley was dispatched to Wellness Way in reference to a subject getting his vehicle stuck on top of a snow bank in the parking lot. The caller advised that the male subject seemed to be under the influence of something. Upon speaking to the subject, Deputy Oakley had to assist the subject out of the vehicle so he didn’t fall down. The field sobriety test was given in which there were many indicators contributing from being under the influence. Robert E. Guess 62, of Benton, was arrested and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence.
