Lady Marshals pull out 55-54 win over Hopkinsville

DRAFFENVILLE – Miyah Davis’ 20 points, 15 from 3-point range, helped lead the Lady Marshals to a 1-point victory over Hopkinsville Thursday night. This was their second win by one point of the week following a 32-31 win over Christian County on Tuesday.

The Lady Marshals were playing without junior center Hannah Langhi who is out with an injury and not expected to play tonight against Tilghman.

Hopkinsville led 16-15 at the end of the first quarter and stretched it out to a 26-21 lead at halftime. The Lady Marshals out-scored the Lady Tigers by two in the third quarter to close the deficit to 41-38.

The Lady Marshals gutted out 17 fourth quarter points, out-scoring Hopkinsville by four, to pull out the one point win.

Briley English added 12 points to the win, nine by Nikki Fehrenbacher. Kat Howard pulled in six rebounds along with five each by Fehrenbacher, Lexee Miller and Davis.

The Lady Marshals will tip-off tonight against Paducah Tilghman at 6:00 in a Homecoming double-header with the Marshals.
