Mr. Robert "Bob" J. Larson, age 81, of Calvert City, KY, formerly of Weir, KS,
passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at his home. Born Friday December 7, 1934
in Kansas City, MO, Robert was a veteran of the United States Navy having served
honorably on the U.S.S. Kearsarge, was of the Catholic Faith and a member of William
A. Doyle American Legion Post 236.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lou Ann (Vaughn) Larson of Calvert City, KY;
daughter, Lisa West of Calvert City, KY; son, Robert "Bobby" L. Larson and wife Mary
of Calvert City, KY and three grandchildren, Tyler Larson, Nicholas Larson and
Kaitlyn West.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert "Eck" Larson and Marie (Brohl) Larson
and a sister, Donna Ristau.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 17, 2016 in the chapel
of Collier Funeral Home with Fr. Shaiju Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in
the Calvert City Cemetery in Calvert City, KY where military rites are to be
conducted.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Saturday,
January 16, 2016 and between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Sunday January
17, 2016 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY 42025.
