This morning at approximately 6:15 am, Deputy Dan Melone responded to US 62 between Calvert City and Possum Trot in reference to an injury crash. According to Deputy Melone. a garbage truck driven by Jeremy Puckett age 27 of Murray slowed due to a vehicle in the ditch.
A vehicle driven by Stacey Alexander, age 39 of Benton was following the garbage truck. Alexander, unable to stop, struck the garbage truck in the rear. Alexander was injured in the crash and was flown by medical helicopter to Evansville for treatment.
