Traffic stop leads to drug arrest in Marshall County

On Saturday, January 2 Deputy Cory Curtner of the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office assisted Officer Robinson from Benton Police on a traffic stop at the intersection of KY 348 and the Purchase Parkway.

Officer Robinson was talking to the passengers of the vehicle, while Deputy Curtner made contact with the driver.

In plain view, Deputy Curtner observed an item that was thrown from the window into the roadway.

Deputy Curtner retrieved the item, which was a small Tylenol bottle with what appeared to be methamphetamine.

It field tested positive for the drug.

There was also an eyeglass container with a glass pipe and straw with meth residue.

Wilson W. Walker, 52, of Paducah, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia.
