Mr. Harry Herschel Culp, age 89 of Gilbertsville, KY died on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the home of his cousin. Born Friday, July 23, 1926 in Gilbertsville, KY, he was a constable for Marshall County for many years. He was also a member of VFW and a Purple Heart recipient from his service in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Culp was also a big supporter of the Marshall County Exceptional Center.
Mr. Culp is survived by his sons, Tim Culp and his wife Judy of West Paducah, KY, Terry Culp and his wife Linda of Paducah, KY and Ronnie Culp and his wife Sandy of Lakeland, MI.
Mr. Culp was preceded in death by his wife Lilian “Lil” (Belt) Culp, brother Virgil Culp and sisters, Jessie Smith and Cora Lee Sherron. His parents were the late Birdie and Daisy Lee (Bartoff) Culp.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm on Sunday January 3, 2016 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 W 5th Street.
There will be no funeral services. Burial will follow at a later date in Provine Cemetery.
