Localized flooding possible this weekend

NWS

The National Weather Service in Paducah is watching a slow-moving front that could bring some instances of flooding to localized areas, mainly Friday night and Saturday.

Two to four inches of rain could occur between Friday and Monday across the region.

Currently a flood watch has been issued from 6:00 pm Friday until midnight Sunday morning.

Rain will become widespread through Friday afternoon, and remain steady on Saturday.

Rainfall rates could be enough for small streams and ditches to flow out of their banks, especially in flood-prone areas.

Keep your weather radio handy in case additional flood watches are issued for more counties across our region through the weekend.
