Two vehicle injury accident Tuesday involves Calvert City woman

accident-noles2PADUCAH – Deputies responded to the 4000 block of Clarks River Road shortly after 4:00 pm  Tuesday for a report of an injury accident. Investigation showed that 54 year old Larry McGehee of Smithland, KY, was stopped eastbound in his 2009 Kia SUV in the left lane in traffic. McGehee stated that traffic was stopped for unknown reasons. 23 year old Brittany Noles of Calvert City, KY, was operating a 2000 Chevy Malibu eastbound in the same lane.

For unknown reasons, Noles was not observing the traffic in front of her and stated when she looked up, she could not stop in time. Noles struck McGehee in the rear of his vehicle. Noles was carrying her two children, Braxton and Brayden Farmer, both 2 years of age, in car seats in her vehicle. Neither Noles or her two children reported any injuries at the scene

McGehee was transported by Mercy EMS for non-incapacitating injuries to a local hospital. Reidland Fire Department assisted at the scene as well as Affordable Towing. Traffic was slowed to one lane for approximately 45 minutes.

Deputies noted that a separate non-injury accident had occurred around the same time on Clarks River Road, just 30-40 yards north of the injury accident. Due to several vehicles blocking the eastbound left lane, vehicles were slowed and some stopped. McGehee was stopped in the traffic with several vehicles between him and the separate collision. This accident was considered a separate accident.accident-noles1
