Chamber Announces Lunch and Learn Seminar Series

BENTON, KY –  The Kentucky Lake Chamber of Commerce is announcing a series of Lunch and Learn Seminars that will be of interest to the community.

Beginning on Thursday, October 22, and continuing with the following four Thursdays, the Kentucky Lake Chamber of Commerce in Marshall County will host a series of Lunch and Learn seminars on topics they feel would be of interest to folks in the community.

Each Thursday session will be held at the Chamber office located in Draffenville from 12:00 p.m. until around 1:00 p.m. In addition to an hour long session with a guest speaker, a light lunch will also be provided.

The seminars are free for chamber member businesses and are open to public as well at a cost of $10.00 per seminar.

  • Thursday, Nov. 5 – Topic: Using the New SizeUp Tool on Chamber’s Website, with Chris Wooldridge,

Director Small Business Development Center at Murray State

  • Thursday, Nov. 12 – Topic: Social Media for Small Business, with Tamela Hayton, Management

Consultant Kentucky Small Business Development Center at Murray State

  • Thursday, Nov. 19 – Topic: Social Security-Your Questions Answered with Rich Hendrickson, Financial

“I think those that participate in these seminars will come away with some valuable information as well as a valuable resource through our presenters and the businesses or agencies they represent,” said Chamber Director, Debbie Buchanan. “The Chamber felt it important to offer these short seminars to our members, either the business owner, or their employees to hopefully help aid in their success in our community.”

Only those who RSVP by the Wednesday prior will be provided lunch, last minute folks are welcome to attend as long as there is room available as seating is limited.
