MADISONVILLE – The Marching Marshals began their 2015 competition season on Saturday at the Maroon Marching Band Classic held on the campus of Madisonville North Hopkins High School.
Competing in class 5A, the Marching Marshals won their class, coming in 1st in both Color Guard and Percussion in their class as well. In overall competition, the band competed against eight other bands which combines all bands in Class 1A – 5A, and won Grand Champion of the contest.
They also won Best Overall Color Guard and narrowly missed Best Percussion in which they finished 2nd overall.
Next on the schedule for the Marching Marshals is Festival of Champions on the campus of Murray State University on Saturday September 19. The event begins at 11:45 am, with the Marching Marshals taking the field at 3:00 pm.
