HARDIN – The Kentucky State Police and Marshall County Sheriff’s Office arrested three suspects on charges ranging from allegations of probation violation to methamphetamine manufacturing on Tuesday.
KSP Trooper David Dick acted on a tip that a suspect with warrants was at a residence on Commerce St. Marshall County Deputy Steven Oakley assisted Dick. The officers knocked and announced themselves and heard activity inside the residence. The occupants refused to answer the door. The officers believed they smelled a chemical odor consistent with the manufacturing of methamphetamine and several inactive meth labs were located on the property.
Additional officers arrived and police entered the residence where Nicholas was located with two other people. John Nicholas was taken into custody on the warrant and officers received a search warrant for the property. The police said they found two active meth labs which were removed by detectives from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department with other drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Amanda Duncan, 33, of Eldorado, IL, was charged with a probation violation. Police charged John M. Nicholas, 57, Benton, with probation violation. James E Warford, 45, Hardin, was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana.
All three suspects were lodged at the Marshall County Detention Center.
