DRAFFENVILLE – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has added a protected/permissive turn phase to traffic signals on US 68 at the Purchase Parkway Exit 47 Interchange at Draffenville in Marshall County starting Monday.
Motorists making left turns from the main line of US 68 to the Purchase Parkway entry ramps at this interchange will have a protected left turn with a green arrow, followed by a permissive turn on the green ball after yielding to oncoming traffic.
The signal phasing change is to improve traffic efficiency and safety in the area.
Motorists are urged to be alert for changes in traffic flow the new signal phasing may create at the ramps. Signal technicians completed installation of the protected/permissive turn phase Monday morning.
The ramp traffic signals are at US 68 mile point 9.415 at the Julian Carroll-Purchase Parkway Exit 47 Interchange at Draffenville.
