CALVERT CITY – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans milling and paving along KY 95/Main Street in the Calvert City area of Marshall County starting Wednesday, July 22nd.
The paving project along KY 95/South Main Street runs from the US 68 intersection through Calvert City to the end of state maintenance near Haddix Ferry Landing.
Milling is expected to start on Wednesday, followed by asphalt paving starting Thursday. The project is expected to take about 12 working days, weather permitting.
Motorists should be alert for one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers. Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and construction personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
Jim Smith Contracting Company, LLC, is the prime contractor on this $1.2 million highway improvement project. The project is expected to take about 12 working days, weather permitting.
