Robert “Bob” Joseph Simons, 75 of Calvert City, Kentucky died on Thursday, July 9, 2015, at his home. He was retired from Elf Atochem where he worked as a Storeroom Clerk. Mr. Simons was of the Baptist Faith.
Born Sunday, March 24, 1940 in Paducah, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Ruble Simons and the late Maude (McClanahan) Simons.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth (Roberts) Simons of Calvert City, KY; sons, Kenneth Simons of Houston, TX, Kirk Simons of Denison, TX and James Lynn Turner of Murray, KY, daughters, Karen Lichtenberg of Paducah, KY and Kathy Dowell of Paducah, KY, brother, Billy Simons of LA, ; and 7 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Mary Sue (Campbell) Simons; by brothers, Ralph Simons, McD Simons and Earl Simons, and sisters, Maxine Hyre and Frances Willeford.
Funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY 42025, Terrell Lee officiating. Interment will follow in the Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Collier Funeral Home.
