BARDSTOWN – At the Bardstown Country Club June 16-17, Marshall County golfers Savannah Howell and Jay Nimmo both captured titles in the 12 & Under Division at the Kentucky Junior PGA event.
In the Boys 12 & Under Division, 12 year old Jay Nimmo from Benton, KY started Round 1 with a 4-under par 32, and finished both rounds at 2-under par (70) to capture the title by 7 shots. Connor Calhoun of Grayson, KY finished as the Runner-Up besting Cooper Claycomb of Bowling Green, KY by one shot.
In the Girls 12 & Under Division, 11 year old Savannah Howell from Calvert City, KY played consistently over both days (80) to capture the title by 11 shots over Kate Hanni from Ashland, KY.
