
DRAFFENVILLE – A game that began on April 21st was completed on Monday, May 11th, between the Lady Marshals and Lady Tigers. The April 21st game was cut short when a storm rolled through Draffenville after 3 1/2 innings that had Murray on the board with a 6-3 lead.
Back on April 21st, Murray lead 2-0 after one inning with Marshall adding two runs in their first at-bat, scoring on an RBI single by Abby Fiessinger and RBI double by Kenslie Cross.

Murray scored a run in the second on a single by Shelby Moss with the Lady Marshals answering once again, tying the game 3-3 in the inning when a ground out by Lexee Miller brought in Bailey Murphy.
Murray’s top of the fourth at bat produced three runs as skies threatened and the game was called with the Lady Tigers up 6-3.
Picking up in the bottom of the fourth on Monday, an RBI single by Miller cut the Lady Tigers lead to 6-4, then again to 6-5 in the fifth on an RBI double by Murphy.
In the sixth, Chaney Stearns singled and Fiessinger walked before Payton Smothers tied the game on a 2-run double, followed by the go-ahead run that was scored by Fiessinger. An RBI single by Cross brought in Smothers to give the Lady Marshals an 8-6 lead that held for the win.
Over the weekend, the Lady Marshals went 2-1 in the Best of the West at Buchanan Park in Bowling Green, beating Livingston Central 11-1 on Friday, losing 10-4 to South Warren on Saturday then followed that up with a 13-3 win over Greenwood.
The 19-7 Lady Marshals play the #1 Lady Mustangs tonight at McCracken County at 6:00.
