First Region Athletic Directors Association award recipients announced

DRAFFENVILLE – Marshall County seniors Rachel Prange and Mason Wooten are the recipients of the Joey Fosko Memorial Scholarship. The First Region Athletic Director Joey Fosko Scholarship goes to two athletes, one female and one male, at each First Region school.

The Joey Fosko Memorial  Scholarship college fund is awarded yearly to two students in each high school’s senior class in the district. Fosko, a longtime sports writer for the Sun and regional high school sports expert, died June 17 of 2013.

Rachel is the daughter of Leigh Gideon and Michael Prange and will be attending Eastern Kentucky University.  Mason is the son of Jimmie and Ladonna Wooten and will be attending the Shawnee Community College.
