Commercial Vehicle Collision –
Deputy Barry Howell investigated a single vehicle collision involving a dump truck. The driver of the truck, John Jestes, 49 of Benton, stated that he was traveling South bound on the Purchase Parkway near the 48 mm.
Jestes stated that his vehicle began to pull to the right causing him to leave the roadway striking several trees. The Purchase Parkway was reduced to one lane for several hours while Bailey’s wrecker service worked to recover the truck. Jestes denied any injuries. Marshall County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Marshall County Ambulance service, Kentucky State Police, and the Department of Highways.
