Two remaining escaped inmates taken into custody Friday night, both being held without bond

HARDIN – Kentucky State Police and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office have located and apprehended the two remaining inmates who escaped from the Marshall County Detention Center on April 3.

Gage Jobe was apprehended on April 7, however, Travis Bonapfel and Jeremiah Nicholas were still at large. On April 10, Kentucky State Police, assisted by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, located and arrested both of these inmates at approximately 9 p.m. in the Hardin community.

Travis Bonapfel was charged with Escape, 2nd Degree and Violation of Parole. He was lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center with no bond. Jeremiah Nicholas was charged with Escape, 2nd Degree. He was also lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center with no bond. The investigation continues by Trooper Eric Fields with Kentucky State Police.
