Mrs. Eva Lou (Henderson) Thorn, age 78 of Calvert City, KY passed away Friday, March 27, 2015, at 12:10 p.m. at the Calvert City Convalescent Center in Calvert City, KY. Born Tuesday, May 19, 1936 in Marshall Co., KY, she was the daughter of the late Gobel Henderson and the late Lillie (Harris) Henderson Nelson. She was the wife of the late Loman Robert Thorn to whom she married October 5, 1954.
Surviving are her daughters, Laurie Travis, husband Mitch of Mayfield, KY and Connie Choat, husband Thomas of Iuka, KY, sisters, Glenda Stevens of Benton, KY and Wilma Walker of Hardin, KY. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Crystal Riley, husband Jason, Brandon Choat, wife Leigh Ann, Emily Morgan, husband Danny and Heather Choat, three great-grandchildren, Jayce Riley, Cejay Riley and Emilee Morgan. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, Joe Wayne Henderson, LeRoy Henderson and Harold Eugene Henderson and one sister, Martha Nell Smith.
Funeral service will be held, 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at the Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY. Family will receive friends Monday, March 30, 2015 at the Collier Funeral Home Chapel between the hours of 5 to 8 P.M. Interment will follow the service in the Bethel Cemetery
