Mr. Kenneth D. Collins, age 58 of Benton, KY died on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY. Born Sunday, September 2, 1956 in Murray, KY, he loved hunting and being outdoors. His favorite activity was spending time on and Kentucky Lake on his boat, “Tipsea” with his family and friends from Hesterville. He was retired from General Tire, Kentucky Dam Village State Park and was the Western Regional Wastewater Manager for the Kentucky Park System. He held a Class III wastewater certificate. He was a member of the Marshall County Elks and the Kentucky Water and Wastewater Operator’s Association.
Mr. Collins is survived by his wife of 32 years Vivian (Hamilton) Collins; daughter Kacy York and her husband Chevy of Benton; sister Debbie Gardner and her husband Greg of Benton; sister-in-law Carla Riley and her husband Ray of Gilbertsville; father and mother-in-law Carl and Clara Hamilton of Benton; nieces Ali Gardner and Tayler Riley; nephews Chad Gardner and William and Addison Riley, and several Aunts and Uncles.
Mr. Collins was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Eugene Collins and grandparents, Edgar and Ruby Collins and Les and Mary Dick.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday March 28, 2015 at the Chapel of Collier Funeral Home with Rev. Earl Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Springs Cemetery, Benton, KY. Visitation will be held between the hours of 10:00 am until 2:00 pm on Saturday March, 28, 2015 at Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY. Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY are in charge of all arrangements.
