Mrs. Bonnie L. Boone, age 89 of Benton, KY, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2015, at 1:35 a.m. at the Calvert City Convalescent Center in Calvert City, KY. Born Friday, November 20, 1925 in Linden, TN, she was the daughter of the late Cecil Gregory and the late Lydia Esther (Comer) Gregory. She was the wife of the late James Boone. She was a homemaker, and worked a variety of jobs in Chicago, IL and Joplin, MO before moving to KY in the 1960’s. She was a member of the Briensburg Church of Christ.
Surviving are her children, Linda Coursey, husband Stan of Calvert City, KY, Lillian Dismore of Calvert City, KY, James Lynn Boone, wife Trish of Lawson, MO, and Lisa O’Bryan, husband Richard of Sharpe, KY. seven grandchildren, Scott Coursey of Obion, TN, Carl Dismore of Calvert City, KY, Evan Dismore of Mayfield, KY, Jeromy O’Bryan of Symsonia, KY, Lyndsey Boone of Manassas, VA, Tiffany Rudesill of Paducah, KY, and Logan Boone of Lawson, MO, and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, James Gregory and one sister, Mildred Miller.
Graveside services will be held Monday, March 23, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Provine Cemetery, Benton, KY. Gary Knuckles will officiate. Interment follow the service. Friends may visit with the family between the hours of 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM on Monday, March 23, 2015, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
