Marshall County will play at Graves County on Saturday, April 25, at 7:00 pm in the Alumni Football USA game led by Larry Crouse as head coach of the Marshall County alumni team.
This will be the second game for the Graves County alumni who played Mayfield last year. A week before the Marshals and Eagles kick off, Tilghman and Mayfield will play on April 18th.
Ticket pre-sales are going on now and are available at the high school by seeing Coach Evan Merrick, Chris Gunn at Morgan, Trevathan and Gunn and Jeff Waters at WCBL. Tickets are $10 and the Marshall football program will retain a portion of ticket pre-sales.
Across the country, alumni football games are increasing in popularity bringing former players together to put the pads on again in rivalry games that bring the community together for a fun event organized by Alumni Football USA, with 846 games already on the schedule for 2015.
According to Marshall County Head Coach Evan Merrick, over 50 football alumni from all decades have already signed up to play and are attending practices.
Merrick said there is still time to sign up and practices are taking place on Thursday’s at 5:00 and Sunday’s at 2:00.
Alumni Football USA has a website with more information, videos and pictures of past games as well as a place to create an account to register for the event. The cost is $100 which includes entry fee, playing insurance and a personalized jersey with proceeds from the event going to the Marshall County Quarterback Club.
