Two arrested after active methamphetamine labs were discovered at Benton residence

drug arrests(2)BENTON - Two men have been arrested on drug charges after active meth labs were discovered at a local residence on Sunday. According to police reports, officers from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office along with Benton Police Department went to Wadesboro Road South to serve a warrant on Billy W. West 60, of Benton where they explained there had been concerns in reference to illegal drug activity.

 The incident occurred just after 8:30 a.m. this morning on Phelps Rd. Homeowners Rick and Wanda Gamble say they were outside when they heard a noise inside, only to realize upon investigation that smoke was already rolling through their home.

sheriff2MARSHALL COUNTY - The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office partnered with the Kentucky State Police to conduct highway safety operations this past weekend in support of the state and national program, “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over”. The Sheriff’s Office conducted operations in several different strategies to combat not only DUI and other traffic offenses but also had Deputies patrolling several off road problem areas and Kentucky Lake as well.
