DRAFFENVILLE - It all started with a young girl’s vision to help feed the hungry here at home. The Empty bowl project of Marshall County was born from that vision in 2012, and in its inaugural year raised more than $13,000 benefitting Marcella’s Kitchen in Draffenville.
Then, seventeen year old Victoria Poston, said she had heard of the project’s success in Paducah and wanted to duplicate those efforts here in her hometown.








MARSHALL COUNTY - It was a busy weekend for Marshall County Emergency Responders, having answered numerous calls to reports of brush fires and injury accidents - the downside to warmer weather bringing more outdoor activity.
AURORA - Emergency responders jumped into action today after initial reports indicated a barge had broken lose and was headed toward the Eggners Ferry Bridge – this just a short time after the one year anniversary of the Delta Mariner’s collision.
MARSHALL COUNTY - A vehicular collision injured two people this afternoon, including one patient who was airlifted from the scene.
MCCRACKEN COUNTY - Detectives with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office and Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force assisted McCracken County Detectives in the execution of a search warrant at a residence located on Benton Road in Paducah.
CALVERT CITY - Each year, the Marshall County Exceptional Center hosts their annual Don Fightmaster fundraising golf tournament, benefitting clients who attend the center.
