CALVERT CITY- Two men have arrested following a late night incident that occurred at Heartland Motors in Calvert City Thursday.
According to police reports, officers were called to the car lot at approximately 2:15 a.m. in reference to two subjects who were reportedly rummaging through vehicles and looking under fender wells, possibly for keys.
Upon making contact, both subjects appeared to be under the influence of narcotics. The subjects granted consent to a personal search where officers reovered two plastic straws from the right front pocket of his jeans. The suspect stated that he had used Methamphetamine and other narcotics earlier that night. Calvert City Police Officer Jeff Peck took charges out on the driver of the vehicle. Deputy Tim Reynolds arrested Stuart R. Shelton, 26, of Princeton, for public intoxication of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both the driver and Shelton were lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center.
