Born Tuesday, December 16, 1941, he was the son of the late Ellis Lee Staggs and the late Mattie Louise (Mansfield) Staggs.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Annie (Dorris) Staggs of Benton, KY sons, Daniel Staggs (Nicole Webb) of Benton, KY and Allen Staggs of Benton, KY, daughters, Melodie Birdsong of Benton, KY, Sandra Sirls of Scottsville, KY, Brenda Wilson of Benton, KY, 23 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren, brothers, Bob Staggs of Missouri, Jim Staggs of Missouri, Robert Staggs of Missouri, Bill Staggs of Washington, and sister, Lois Marshall of Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Charles Staggs, twin brother, Marvin Staggs, sisters, Emma Doris Breshear, Wanda Hannah and Phyllis White.
A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, Kentucky 42025 with Kevin Spraggs officiating.
Interment will follow in the Mullinax Cemetery.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Collier Funeral Home.
