A big day is coming up Saturday, September 25th. It’s called “A Day of Fun on 641.” Several businesses will be having special events and pricing going on that day, with events happening from 9 am to 11 pm. Elena Blevins with the Kentucky Lake Convention and Visitors Bureau joined us on WCBL’s Coffee Call program. She says it’s been a very good tourist season this year, with still lots of good weather left for fishing, camping, hiking and other outdoor activities. Blevins says the KY Lake Paddle Up that was postponed earlier will be held Saturday, October 9th. Check-in will be that morning between 8 and 8:30 at the Kentucky Dam Village New Beach Pavilion and then will head to Sledd Creek to launch. You are welcome to bring your canoes and kayaks and take part in the event. For more information on this and other events in the lakes area, go to visitkylake.com.
