Middle School cross country competes at Calloway County Invitational

Members of the Middle School boys cross country team who took first at the Calloway County Invitational (L-R) Isaac Darnell, Owen Futrell, Thatcher Newnum, Daniel Walker, Sam Martin, Hunter Riley, and Steven Fite.

Last Saturday, the Marshall County Middle School Cross Country team competed in the Calloway County Invitational.

The boys team finished in first place. Daniel Walker was the team’s top finisher, with second place overall.  The boys placed two other runners in the top 15 – Thatcher Newnum finished in 13th and Fisher Beth placed 15th.

On the girls side, the Lady Marshals place two runners inside the top 10.  Eden Sandlin got her first win of the young cross country season and Ann Marie Peffer finished 9th.

Both teams will be back on the course Saturday, Sept. 11 at the  McCracken County Invitational.
