Marshall County archers compete in S3DA 3-D National Championships

Marshall County student, Christian Jones, took first in Barebow at the S3DA Eastern 3-D National Championships in London, Ky. this past weekend.

At the S3DA Eastern 3-D National Championships held in London, Ky. at the Laurel County Fairgrounds, the 2021 archery season wrapped up for Marshall County members of the West Kentucky Bowhunters team.

The archers competed against S3DA members from across the United States for the title of “National Champion” in their division.

Christian Jones is the national S3DA Barebow Champion, scoring 41 out of 50 (401 total) in a shootdown to take the title.

Bella Barrett shot a personal best 190 on the second day which put her in the top five for the shoot down. In second going into the shoot down, Barrett shot her way into first to win the Olympic Recurve division.

Hannah Smith competed in her first shoot down and finished fifth in Olympic Recurve.

Haley Doublin, Tyra McWilliams and Grant Smith also competed at the National Championships.
