Marshall County Special Olympics competes in Summer Games

Marshall County Special Olympics took several track and field, Bocce athletes and unified partners to Eastern Kentucky University on Saturday June 5th to participate in Special Olympics Kentucky Summer Games.  The athletes competed in running, walking, throwing and Bocce ball events.  Several of our athletes beat their best times and brought home several gold, silver and bronze medals.  Four athletes placed in different divisions at the annual statewide art contest: Elliot Bash (1st), Vance Phelan (2nd), Jennifer Irvan (3rd) and Harli Hanisch (5th).

Bocce Teams:  Michael & Kim Wright; Staci Duncan & Jennifer Irvan; Trevin West & Jacob Hart; Mandy & DI Bobo; Heath & Myra Mann and Joseph & Benny Morton Coaches:  Ed & Dawn Wilson
