Soldier Creek Primitive Baptist Church is the oldest church in Marshall County. And because the church building is in need of some repairs, a fundraiser is underway to help preserve this historical landmark. The church was founded in 1820, was the scene of the first Marshall County wedding and stands as a Marshall County landmark. Marshall County Commissioner Justin Lamb and Carolyn Pace Johnson joined us recently on WCBL’s Coffee Call program. Lamb says you can make a donation to help preserve this historic landmark by sending your contribution to: The Community Foundation of Marshall County for Soldier Creek Church, 41Wedge Drive, Benton, KY 42025.
