Lady Eagles, Eagles top Fulton City

Christian Fellowship’s Eagles are off to a 2-0 start following Tuesday’s 73-37 win over Fulton City. In his fifth season, Head Coach Tyler Ryan led CFS to an 18-11 record last year, the program’s best in over two decades. Veteran players – senior Andrew Allen, juniors Isaac Hovekamp and Luke Grigg  and sophomore Andrew Dunning – all leading scorers on last year’s squad will lead the Eagles again this season.

Hovekamp led in scoring with 20 points in the win, along with three others in double-figures – Dunning 19, Allen 14 and Luke Grigg with 12. Allen recorded his second double-double after his 27 points/12 rebounds in Monday’s 60-38 win over Todd County Central – he pulled in 10 rebounds along with his 14 points against Fulton City.

The Lady Eagles notched their first win 51-42 over Fulton City following Monday’s 51-38 loss to Todd County Central. In his fourth season at the helm, Head Coach Trevor Jackson led CFS to their best record in program history last season, finishing 15-13.

Still a very young team, they return seasoned veterans in sophomores Lillian Burnett, Rhema Howard, Jayden Jackson and Alyssa Warren along with freshman Gracie Howard who led the Lady Eagles with 25 points against Fulton City and 17 against Todd County Central.

CFS will play a double-header at home on Thursday against St. Mary, girls up first at 6:00.
