Marshall County announces 2020 Football Awards

The Marshall County High School football program announced their 2020 Football Awards. In the unprecedented season under first-year head coach Steve Etheridge, the Marshals finished 3-6. They  graduate 14 seniors leaving a large group of underclassmen who are ready to begin work for the 2021 season.

Letters and bars were awarded followed by academic awards and individual honors.

KHSAA Academic All-State First Team: (3.75 GPA and higher)
Ryder Balentine, Carter Beliles, Kane Buchmeier, Colby Byers, Landon Carneal, Gavin Clark, Braden Clough, Grayson Cretsinger, Griffin Darnall, Aiden Dunnigan, Keadon Ford, Joe Gaudy, Chase Gibbs, Caleb Hassa, Conner Holland, Travis Hutchinson, Jackson Mahmet, Chase Matteson, Drake May, Travis Morris, Logan Parker, Aaron Smith, Quinn Smith, Riley Smith, Talon Smothers, Ty Wood, Brodie Young, Gunner Young

Team MVP: Logan Reese

Distinguished Marshal: Griffin Darnall
(Top award given to a four-year senior who excels in all categories on and off the field.)

Recently, five Marshals were recognized with All-WKC honors and they are: Logan Reese, Talon Smothers, Chase Gibbs, Kameron Bowerman and Quinn Smith.

Logan Reese was named to the 2020 Paducah Sun All-Purchase Team.
